Rose Quartz is a variety of quartz whose pink color is thought to come from trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese, or from microscopic inclusions of a pink mineral called dumortierite. It forms in granite pegmatites and is found worldwide, with major sources in Brazil, Madagascar, and South Africa. Rose Quartz has been used in love rituals and beauty practices for thousands of years — ancient Egyptians used Rose Quartz face masks, believing the stone prevented aging and promoted a radiant complexion.
