Indonesian Amber (also called Sumatran Amber) is among the oldest in the world, estimated to be 15–45 million years old. Amber sometimes contains perfectly preserved insects, plant material, and even air bubbles from ancient atmospheres — making it one of the most extraordinary windows into prehistoric life.
